Review : Gateway P-7811FX

Gateway
has launched the P-7811FX 17-inch gaming notebook PC, the latest in its P-Series FX Edition line.


The Gateway P-7811FX, the company’s first laptop with the Intel Centrino 2 mobile platform, comes with the Core 2 Duo P8400 processor at 2.26GHz, NVIDIA GeForce 9800M GTS 512MB dedicated video card, 4GB of DDR3 RAM, a 200GB hard drive at 7200rpm, and a DVD burner. Its widescreen display has a resolution of 1920-by-1200 pixels.


The notebook also incorporates a 1.3-megapixel web camera, HDMI output, the Intel Wireless Wi-Fi Link network connection (802.11a/b/g/n), Gigabit Ethernet LAN, a 56k modem, three USB ports, an ExpressCard slot, eSATA and Firewire ports, and a 5-in-1 media card reader.


The P-7811FX weighs 9.2 pounds and ships with Windows Vista Home Premium 64-bit preinstalled.


It is costs $1,449 at Best Buy.
